It’s March 13, 2026, and I’m buzzing like I just downed three espressos while staring at a blurry trail cam photo of something massive moving through the trees. Book Two of the Elara Voss series is officially taking shape—and oh boy, is it shaping up to be even wilder than the first one.
This week I finally locked in the full outline. Yes, the chaotic scribbles in three different notebooks and the color-coded mind-map on my van wall have been tamed (mostly) into something resembling a coherent plan. I’ve plotted out the chapters, figured out where the tension needs to spike, where the revelations hit hardest, and—most importantly—where Elara’s signature brand of scatty, heart-pounding, pants-dropping chaos is going to unfold.
We’re diving deeper this time. Elara’s reputation is spreading faster than a viral Mothman sighting, which means more eyes on her, more requests flooding her inbox, and a growing circle of allies (and maybe a couple of delicious complications) stepping into the frame. New characters are joining the hunt—some who know way more than they’re letting on, some who are dangerously charming, and at least one who makes Elara question whether the real mystery is the cryptid… or the way her pulse races every time they get too close.
It’s got claws, mystery, and an unsettling habit of showing up exactly when things are getting interesting. Expect midnight stakeouts, questionable life choices, and—because it’s Elara—plenty of moments where “professional distance” goes right out the window.
Next week, I’m finally putting fingertips to keyboard and writing those opening chapters. The first scenes are already burning in my brain.
